This week we have been working on counting in ones and tens. We have been using rods.  I found it easy.

In writing this week we are writing reports all about spiders. We had to research all about spiders and we used bubble.us to brainstorm our writing.

This week for maths I have been learning about time. We learnt to tell time on the hour and half hour. I found this activity easy.

This is my spider that I made for our book that we are reading Charlottes Web. I made it from straws, plastic container and googly eyes. I put it all together with hot glue.

Camp Reflection

Last week I went on school camp to Fox Glacier and it was fun.

My favorite part of camp was the Glow Worm Walk because everyone was scaring everyone and it was really funny. I hid in a tree with trees growing off of it. I scared Will, Selena, and Oliver's mum. They screamed and it was funny to watch.

I also liked going swimming in Lake Mapourika. It was really fun jumping off the jetty. It was funny because I got pushed off and I face planted into the water and hurt my face. The water was really warm and slimy .  

On the way there we stopped at Franz Josef so that we could go to the Kiwi House to look at the kiwi. The lady at the Kiwi House told us some information about the Rowe and the Topeka . the place we went to see the kiwi was very dark. The kiwi are really fast. They blend in with the bush.

I really liked playing spot light at the Fox Glacier School. I did not get found at all. I was hiding on the field. The taggers were in different places so that's why I didn’t get found!
